The easiest way -and only way, other than by foot- to reach Nuria is by railtrack from Ribes de Fresser, a small village in the Pyrenees. This village is reachable by train from Barcelona.
You can buy the train ticket to Ribes de Fresser
at Barcelona Sants railway station (no reservation is needed).
Your registration to IWIN and/or SIROCCO includes the railtrack from Ribes to Nuria,
so when arriving at Ribes station go to the ticket window and tell your name. They will have a list of participants and will allow you to the train.
From Barcelona Airport there are trains that go to Barcelona
Sants (takes les than 30 min, and there is at least a train every half

Aeroport --> Barcelona Sants
So a typical trip to Nuria will be:
1. Fly to Barcelona International Airport
2. Take a train from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona Sants (see timetable)
3. Take a train from Barcelona Sants to Ribes (last connecting train at 15:15 !!! )
4. Take the rack railway train from Ribes to Nuria (last train at 17:30 !!!)
From the Airport to Ribes it would take around 3h.
The rack train take some 45' from Ribes to Nuria.
Travelers by car go directly to Ribes (1h30 from Barcelona) or Queralbs, and take the railtrack (remember! cars do not go up to Nuria).
Plan to arrive at Ribes de Fresser no later than 17:30 pm.
(That means leaving Barcelona-Sants station at 15:15 )
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO REACH
NURIA THAN THE RACK RAILWAY TRAIN,
unless you are ready for a 3-hour walk in the mountain!

If travelling by car take the N-152 (Barcelona - Puigcerda) up to Ribes
de Freser village.
From this village catch the narrow gauge railway (railtrack) which goes up the Vall
de Nuria. If travelling by train take the train at Ribes de Fresser station up to the Vall de Nuria.
